Teachings
One of the primary elements of our worship gatherings is exploring the scriptures. Together as a community of faith we seek to faithfully interpret and apply these ancient texts to the realities of twenty-first century life. We do this because we believe God is present with us, that God's Story is continually unfolding all around us and that he is still renewing all of creation and inviting us to participate.

Themes From the Table: A Broken Savior for Broken Bodies
Being present with the brokeness (material and immaterial) in our own bodies and the bodies of others is a difficult thing. But we have a God who entered our broken humanity to be in solidarity with us. Will we honor his presence with us in this brokenness and allow him to be at home with us in those broken places? Even there, he is holding us until the coming age of full renewal. Scripture: Psalm 139:7-10

Themes From the Table: Delighting in Communion
To be human is to long for relational communion, and the essence of Christian communion is delighting in others for who they are as God's image bearers, not for what they can offer us. In this teaching, we explore the beautiful communion of the Trinity (Father, Son and Spirit) welcoming each of us into their communion of delight so we can share this with one another. This movement in our lives is essential to the healing and repair of the world in which we're often invited to not delight in others and to even remain in hostility with others and seeing them for only what they bring to us. Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 11, Genesis 3, Isaiah 40:27

Themes From the Table: Living Within Pain and Promise
In a world filled with trouble, we're reminded of the promise of hope that has been shown to us in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and one day will fully be present among us. At the Lord's table we're reminded pain and promise are odd dance partners, but we're called to presently live in this tension. For whenever we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim the Lord's death (pain, death and sorrow in the human experience) until he comes (hope and promise). Scriptures: John 12:24, John 16:33, 1 Peter 5:9-10, 1 Corinthians 11

Awareness of How We Are Loved
•Opening Worship •19:04 Message: The more aware we are of being loved, the more able we are to love. Jesus is inviting us on this journey. Scripture: John 13:3-4, Hebrews 13:12-14, Ephesians 3:17-19

Easter Recalibration in Liminal Spaces
•Opening Worship •18:18 Rachel and Mosaic Kids •29:01 Message - The season of Easter is a time to recalibrate our lives toward the risen Christ as Lord. The epistle to the Hebrews was written to people living in a liminal space of having to think and act in new ways. Many today are realizing they are being invited to live and act in new ways in the midst of a chaotic world. As the writer of Hebrews reminds us, here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. So, let us go to Jesus outside the camp. Scripture: Hebrews 13:12-14

The Foolishness of the Cross
In this teaching we discover the cross is our invitation into discovering experiences of inner scarcity are the portals into both receiving the tenderness and kindness of God and then offering self-emptying love toward neighbor. God is kinder to us than we are to ourselves as we embrace the cross and God's wisdom found there. Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:18-31

Delighting in Discovery
In Psalm 40 we hear of the psalmist delighting to do the will of God. Needless to say, there's always a lot of talk about the will of God for one's life. In this teaching we wrestle with the truth of God's will simply being our daily surrender and choice of delighting to keep open, soft, and receptive hearts whatever the path before us. This is what it means to be alive to God. What new discovery is God inviting me into here as I walk this path before me? Scripture: Psalm 40:1-8, 17

Living In Time Pregnant with the Patience of God
As we continue in Peter’s second letter, he tells us of a world pregnant with the patience of God. God's love of his created world will lead him to rescue it, and those who choose to live presently in the love of God while growing in the righteousness of God await a day of the Lord in which all will be laid bare and made new. This hope leads us forward. Scripture: 2 Peter 3

Participation in the Divine Nature
We begin our exploration of Peter’s second letter, where he invites followers of Jesus to share in God’s divine nature. This participation comes through the precious faith granted to them by the righteousness of Jesus, and it culminates in mutual affection and self-giving love for others. By practicing this way of life—one already present in God’s coming kingdom—believers will discover a rich and joyful welcome when it fully arrives. Scripture: 2 Peter 1:1-11

Impatient On Our Way: A God of Loyal Love
We're often impatient on our way to becoming something new. Yet we have a God of loyal love who never wanders from us even though we often wander from him. Our loyal love can be like the morning dew, here for a moment and then dissipating. The loyal love of God displayed to us in Jesus is good news to receive and invites us into movements of steadfast love, too. Scripture: Exodus 34:6-7, Hosea, Ruth

Prayer: Aligning to God's Heart
Jesus teaches his disciples how to pray. Rather than focusing on a list of requests, Jesus invites his disciples to use prayer as a way to align their hearts to God's will and ways. It's another beautiful invitation to awaken to the presence of God and communion with him. Scripture: Matthew 6:5-14

Prayer: An Invitation to Communion with God
Prayer is a common idea both inside and out of religious environments. Most people have thoughts on prayer, some experience with prayer, and questions about what prayer really is. Rebecca invites us into her own journey as she shares the beauty and complexity with prayer. Why still pray when we face disillusionment and disappointment of unanswered prayer or denied requests? Prayer is so much more than a list we submit to God. It begins with an invitation from God to sit with him. Through contemplation, meditation, confession, lament, interceding for friends, declaring God’s goodness, stillness, listening, and awakening to God’s presence, we experience communion with God.

The Satan and the Son of God: The Voice of Amos
As we conclude this series, we give voice to the prophet Amos. God's people find themselves entangled in the system of the Satan, and God's justice will not remain silent. Yet, divine justice is always bound to divine mercy. A new day is coming—a day marked by hope, justice, and righteousness. In the meantime, followers of Jesus are invited to learn from this vision and actively participate in God’s new creation now. Scripture: Amos

The Satan and the Son of God: A Testing of the Heart
Jesus was led into the wilderness for a time of testing. What was in his heart? In that disorienting and chaotic space, faced with the presence of the satan, our faithful brother in humanity shows us a beautiful way forward. As Jesus faithfully fulfills the calling of God’s people, we are invited to examine our own hearts in the face of testing. We rest in his faithfulness—and we move forward, following his example. Scripture: Matthew 4

The Satan and the Son of God: "Get Behind Me, Satan"
At times, the influence of the Satan can be seen even in the life of a disciple. In this recording, we explore the complexity of human faith, the beauty of walking together—both communally and across generations with saints past and present—and the ongoing invitation to grow in awareness of how our lives are shaped by the system of the Satan. This system seeks to harass and enslave; it promises gain, yet demands our very lives in return. It leaves little room for cruciform love or the humble service of foot washing. And yet, because of Jesus’ decisive victory over the Satan, we are invited to lean in, trust God’s presence among us, and discover the life God offers—a life only He can give. Scriptures: Psalm 77, Mark 8, Closing Song written by Levi Nelson

The Satan and the Son of God: The System of Babylon
The Satan operates through a system known as Babylon. This system appears in many places and takes on different forms throughout the ages. It disorients and draws people away from God's way of life. To live faithfully within Babylon means recognizing its patterns while resting in the assurance that one day, Jesus will bring this system to its final end. God's people are not called to destroy the system of the Satan, but to entrust their lives to God's care and live in such a way that their shared life becomes a signpost—pointing to the coming day of God's new creation and enduring faithfulness. This leads us to rest even in the midst of disorienting days. Scriptures: Revelation 17, 18; Genesis 6, 10, 11

The Satan and the Son of God: Entering the Mystery
In Judeo-Christian scripture, The Satan appears in many forms: the serpent in Eden, the Leviathan in Job, the dragon in Revelation, the beasts rising from the sea in Daniel, and the devil of the New Testament. We're told that the Son of God appeared to destroy the works of the devil. But how do we begin to grasp this profound mystery? And how should this understanding shape the way we live as followers of Christ? In the weeks ahead, we'll begin to unpack these themes and explore what they mean for our faith and daily lives. Scriptures: 1 John 3:8, Genesis 1:21, Genesis 3

Lives Bearing Witness to Goodness
Easter reminds us that the goodness which shaped the universe and continues to sustain all of creation will ultimately triumph. But what does it mean to bear witness to this goodness? What does it look like to align ourselves with its energy and rhythm? The lives of Tabitha (Dorcas) and Peter offer us glimpses—examples of what it means to live in harmony with this divine goodness. May their witness inspire us to do the same. Scripture: Acts 1:8, Acts 9:36-42
