Opening Prayer

Loving God,
open our ears to hear your word
and draw us closer to you,
that the whole world may be one with you
as you are one with us in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Scripture - Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth.

Serve the LORD with gladness; come into his presence with singing.

Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him; bless his name.

For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever and his faithfulness to all generations.

Reflection & Discussion

In the midst of the tedium of life, the physical, mental, and emotional demands of being human, and the atrocities we see near and far, it's easy to miss the opportunity to acknowledge the good things God is doing in and among us.

Let's continue being honest with what we are wrestling with, but let's also give space for praise, gladness, and thanksgiving today.

Closing Prayer

God of compassion,
you have opened the way for us
and brought us to yourself.
Pour your love into our hearts,
that, overflowing with joy,
we may freely share the blessings of your realm
and faithfully proclaim the good news of Christ. Amen.
